POULTRY FARM WIRING
1) IntroductionWhile doing an electrical course at Vigyan Ashram, I chose poultry farm Wiring as a real project. The objective of this project was to learn how to design, install and safely operate a complete wiring system in a real building.In this project, we did all the work ourselves from start to finish, such as drawing diagrams, marking, purchasing materials, wiring, filling boards, installing MCBs and earthing. So we got practical knowledge along with theory.
2) ObjectiveTo prepare a proper wiring plan for a guest hostel.To learn to work on the actual site as per the diagrams.To do electrical work by following safety rules.To gain experience in marking, strip fitting and wiring.To learn to make switch boards, MCB boards and earthing connections.To understand how to select and purchase materials.To learn to estimate costs (financial planning). Learning teamwork, time management and responsibility.
3) Action (Process)First of all, the guest hostel was inspected.A diagram was drawn of where the light point, fan point, plug point and switch board would be.Accurate marking was done using a laser machine as per the diagram.After marking, the strip (PVC strip) was fitted.A list of required materials was prepared.Went to the village and purchased materials like wire, switch, socket, MCB, board, strip etc.While purchasing, we learned how to choose the right quality and right rate material.Completed the wiring by inserting the right size wire in the strip.Filled the switch board and made the connections properly.Learned to fill the MCB board and its connections.After complete wiring, earthing was done. Finally, all the points were checked and tested.
4) ObservationThe work became planned and easy due to the diagram.The work became accurate and straightforward due to laser marking.The wiring became neat and safe due to proper strip fitting.The wiring became durable due to the use of good quality materials.Safety increased due to MCB.The risk of electrical hazard was reduced due to earthing.Working in a team led to proper time planning.Confidence increased while doing the actual work.
5) ConclusionI gained very important practical knowledge in the electrical field from this guest hostel wiring project. I learned all the work of marking, strip fitting, wiring, filling the board, installing MCB, earthing.Apart from this, skills like material procurement, cost estimation (financial knowledge), time management and teamwork were developed. This project will be very useful for my future electrical work and will help me become a responsible and skilled electrician.
