Common Issues and Fixes
- Geyser does not heat:
Check the power supply, plug, MCB, and thermostat. If the heating element is damaged or burnt, replace it.
- Water is not heating properly:
Check the heating element for scaling or damage. Clean the scale from the element or replace it if necessary.
- Water leakage:
Check the inlet and outlet connections, gasket, tank, and safety valve. Tighten loose connections or replace damaged gaskets and pipes.
- Geyser trips the MCB:
Check for a short circuit, damaged heating element, or faulty wiring. Repair or replace the damaged electrical parts.
- No indicator light:
Check the indicator lamp and its electrical connections. Replace the indicator if it is faulty.
- Thermostat not working:
Check the thermostat setting and electrical continuity. Replace the thermostat if it is damaged.
- Burning smell or smoke:
Switch off the geyser immediately. Check for burnt wiring or a damaged heating element and repair or replace the faulty parts.
- Safety valve leaking:
Check the pressure and the safety valve. Clean or replace the valve if it is continuously leaking.
- After repairing the geyser:
Check all electrical and water connections properly. Ensure that there is no leakage and the geyser is properly earthed before switching it on.
