Common Issues and Fixes

  • Geyser does not heat:

Check the power supply, plug, MCB, and thermostat. If the heating element is damaged or burnt, replace it.

  • Water is not heating properly:

Check the heating element for scaling or damage. Clean the scale from the element or replace it if necessary.

  • Water leakage:

Check the inlet and outlet connections, gasket, tank, and safety valve. Tighten loose connections or replace damaged gaskets and pipes.

  • Geyser trips the MCB:

Check for a short circuit, damaged heating element, or faulty wiring. Repair or replace the damaged electrical parts.

  • No indicator light:

Check the indicator lamp and its electrical connections. Replace the indicator if it is faulty.

  • Thermostat not working:

Check the thermostat setting and electrical continuity. Replace the thermostat if it is damaged.

  • Burning smell or smoke:

Switch off the geyser immediately. Check for burnt wiring or a damaged heating element and repair or replace the faulty parts.

  • Safety valve leaking:

Check the pressure and the safety valve. Clean or replace the valve if it is continuously leaking.

  • After repairing the geyser:

Check all electrical and water connections properly. Ensure that there is no leakage and the geyser is properly earthed before switching it on.
