>An Electrical wire is a single Conductor (usually copper or aluminum used to carry electrical Current. A cable Contains two or more bundled wires. The most common types of electrical wires and cables depend on their specific function, voltage, and location.

Common Electrical wire types:-

1.THHN/ THNN: The most Common Singe Conductor wire used inside protective Conduit. The letters indicate properties like high heat resistance (H/HH),wet location rating(w) and a tough nylon coating (N).

2.Bare Copper wire:- Solid or stranded wire with no insulation, typically used for safety grounding.

3.Flexible wire/ multicore cable:- Consists of several fine Copper Strands bundled together-Ideal for appliances and Electronics where flexibility is necessary.

Common cable types:-

1.Non-metallie sheathed Cable(NMor Rumex): The most Common standard wire for indoor residential circuit wiring. It bundles together hot, neutral, and ground wires inside a flat plastic jacket

2.underground feeder (UF) Cable:- A solid, moisture-resistam, and durable plastio sheathed cable designed tor wet locations and direct burial in the ground.

3. Coaxial Cable!-used primarily ‘to transmit radio frequency singals for cable television and internet modems. It features an inner Conductor Surrounded by tubular insulating layers and a metallic shield.

4. Fiber optic cable:- instead of metal, it uses strands of glass to transmit data signals via light, allowing for high-speed internet over long distance.
